We call it a project because there are lots of things going on here. We are a family of four living semi-rurally in our owner-built off-grid straw bale home, attachment parenting, homeschooling, farming and homesteading with two other family members on 10 acres. Our goals are self-sufficiency and sustainability as we prepare for the future while living joyfully in the present.

Strawberry-rhubarb pie
It was my first attempt, and it was pretty good too! The rhubarb and about half the strawberries are from our garden. I made the crust with coconut oil and Chris said it was one of my best yet.
Ooooh, looks delicious! When I come to visit, I want the pie instead of the radish greens. ;)
My rhubarb seeds are popping, yay! I'm trying to decide where I want to put it, and I'm thinking it will go in the front as a nice foil to some of the more delicate foliage.

I'm loving the photos!
Jen, I am salivating! Will you have some at Scotty's party? I can taste it!
Love,
Mom
