We call it a project because there are lots of things going on here. We are a family of four living semi-rurally in our owner-built off-grid straw bale home, attachment parenting, homeschooling, farming and homesteading with two other family members on 10 acres. Our goals are self-sufficiency and sustainability as we prepare for the future while living joyfully in the present.

It's a girl!
Finally, a ewe lamb was born last Thursday. This one's a real cutie--lots of colors and very delicate.
We're thinking about purchasing two N-C ewe lambs this spring. Although the Leicester Longwools are really my first choice for a rare breed sheep, they're really not very practical for a first-timer like me. So, we found a breeder up the way in PA and are set to visit on Wednesday. Can't wait.
Now, we need to figure out how to AI them next year from your herd, so I can have a wonderful connection to you guys!
